UPDATE 12th July 2021
As of today, all restrictions are being lifted on the 19th July and it looks like we will be able to have a wedding we originally planned! This means masks are no longer mandatory and we are allowed to sing and dance and celebrate with you all in style.
UPDATE 22nd June 2021
Hello family and friends, So the wedding is finally happening!! It has been a long while since we posted any update on here and with only 30 days remaining, an update is now long overdue! Boris brought some positive news last week and a light at the end of the tunnel of this emotional rollercoaster, we can have all our guests with us on our special day… on the Day and in the Evening! We will have to do a final FINAL update 2 weeks before to let you know how we expect logistically the day will run as we will know more about church and the venue and what their plans will be. If all goes to plan the 19th July becomes ‘Freedom Day’. Hopefully, we can accommodate for anyone who would like to come to the church although we will have to confirm closer to the time. Please check here again soon for more updates. At the moment, it is really difficult to say what is actually going to happen on the 19th and so we have no choice but to plan for two possible outcomes - one being a socially distanced evening reception and the other, preferred one, the normal wedding with no limits, with dancing and celebrating as we were all used to. We are really excited that we can finally say 'I do' to each other and, at the same time, we are saddened by the fact that some very important people in our lives will not be able to be with us on the day. If this is you, we have arranged for the wedding ceremony to be live streamed via internet and we will post a link here on our website closer to the time. This will be 'closed group' streaming and we are still finalising the details on how this will be accessed. We would like you to pass the information on to those who may not have access to internet to view this update post.
UPDATE 15th February 2021
As we write this message to you all we really don’t know what our wedding day will look like other than small and intimate. We hope we can have as many of you there as we can however, we will be limited on numbers for sure. This therefore means we may have to contact you closer to the time to let you know our plans. We are planning to have immediate family and friends with us on the day at church and hopefully our wedding breakfast. We are planning to live stream our wedding ceremony so everyone up and down the country and around the world can share our special day with us. If the restrictions allow family and friends to visit us after the ceremony outside of church, we would love to see some familiar faces and this would mean the world to us. The possibility of postponing our evening reception is also pretty likely. We are currently undergoing arrangements to move this to another evening later in the year so please keep posted for updates on this. We are truly saddened to know we can’t have everyone we want to celebrate our day with us but we don’t want to postpone for the 4th time and we really want something positive to come out of 2021. Any new updates will be added above this so please keep checking our latest post. Stay safe and love to you all x
